How are you today?Today’s post is a Book Blitz for an upcoming book called The Tower by Nicole Campbell, the tour is being run by YA Bound Book Tours – follow the link on the picture at the bottom for their info! I hope you enjoy this post, I am really excited about it!! Title: The Tower Author: Nicole Campbell Release Date: June 21, 2017 Genre: YA Summary From Goodreads:
“On our sixteenth birthdays, our kind is gifted with awesome powers. Except no, not really because this isn’t Narnia, or Hogwarts, or whatever other mythical realm where witches supposedly live. This is Elizabethtown, Illinois, and much to the chagrin of the local chapter of Susie-Homemakers, we live here.”All witches understand that the universe is a scary sort of powerful on a good day. On a bad day? Well, that’s when The Tower card shows its face during a reading. As summer draws to a close before the beginning of junior year, Rowyn Black is tired of seeing that card stare up at her from the table. Rowyn, Reed, and Rosalyn have made it through just about every dramatic storm their sarcasm could weather during their seventeen year friendship, and it would be nice to have a quiet semester. Rowyn hopes that the only thing The Tower foretells is the frightening sight of the school parking lot come the first day- full of more jacked-up trucks and cut off shorts than a Luke Bryan video. True to its nature, however, the universe doesn’t care much for hopes and wishes, and when the promise of The Tower comes crashing down, they might fall right along with it.
Nicole Campbell is an English teacher turned author, mother to a beautiful three year old boy, and wife to a self-proclaimed techie. Teenage life consisted of a host of adventures for her, many of which serve as inspiration for her writing
Hello and welcome to the freakshow! I absolutely LOVE things to do with the circus and we all know that there are some really good books about it so here are my recommendations
1. Caraval by Stephanie Garber This book is all about magic, mayhem, and romance! It is such and amazing book, and is actually pretty clean! This actually an alternate version of my next rec, if you want a clean version of the book 2. The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern This is actually an adult version of Caraval (it came out before Caraval, but they both have the same concept) about a circus that appears when no one knows and does the same when they leave. 3. Daughter of the Burning City by Amanda Foody This book comes out in July, but an arc is coming to me! I will have a review up next month, so stay tuned! I am in LOVE with both the cover and synopsis! It is so creepy and beautiful
Well, that is everything! These are the three books I love so much! As always, if you have recs, PLEASE contact me! I would love to have them Stay Freaky, Drew
"I have watched. I have learned. And I tell you, I am going and she is worth saving."
Today I am reviewing Heartborn by Terry Maggert. When I started this audiobook, curtesy of Audiobookworm Promotions, I quickly fell in love with it. It follows our two MC's, Livvy and Kerion, whom one is a guardian angel. This book is not your regular YA paranormal. So first lets talk about why I think that this is a good book.
Their is a female MC,
the story is about brothers (something I love reading about)
it's a paranormal fantasy.
The writing was gorgeous
Now, lets talk about what I did not like
tho their is a female MC its seems as if she is relies on Kerion
The genre and concept is still something we have seen in Twilight, Hush, Hush, and so on
It was a little slow
well long story short, I gave this book ✫✫✫✫ 4 stars. Overall it was a very good, but predictable YA paranormal romance.
Now lets get on to my dream cast for Livvy and Kerion
I am going to be doing my dream cast for 3 people. Livvy, Kerion, and his brothers.
Emma Stone as Livvy
I am saying this because she is a very good at acting innocent. Livvy is right up her alley
Brenton Thwaites as Kerion
Just look at him. Guardian angel all the way, and he's australlian.
Cole Sprouse as Kerions Brother
He seem's pretty evil without his twin brother
